@glenn_tunes Someone probably made an analogy, wanting to explain just how large a pool he wanted painting, and he demanded they make it into a prop for him.
@ChrisMartzWX If clothes or furniture were generally worth a lot of money, the government would add an ownership tax for them.
Never believe a government needs to justify why it wants money from you.
@OldManLefty1 Because it's Trump saying it, and while Iran HAS frequently agreed to not have nuclear weapons, there is no reason to assume he has even discussed it with them in the last week before making this statement.
@cra46159 Actually a complex question, at least in the UK.
Uniformed officers come in multiple varieties, full time, part time and volunteer.... The ones you see walking are often basically a glorified Community Watch :D
@BalogunSonia4 Historical Reasons, mostly. Same as how virgin brides are expected, but virgin grooms aren't.
Could be down to there historically being no way to REALLY tell the father of a child, while the mother is pretty obvious?
@RandomDev06 I don't think it matters.
A small fraction of people genuinely are intolerant of things like gluten. Getting food for them was an expensive nightmare.
Now supermarkets stock food, at reasonable prices, for those who are performatively intolerant. The benefit outweighs the dumb.
