"Can you believe that in the 21st century we're still seeing things like this in football? The referee was right in front of several incidents that clearly deserved fouls, yet he chose to wave play on.

What's the point of having a referee in the middle of the pitch if obvious fouls are simply ignored? I've never witnessed officiating like this in my football career. For me, the refereeing was the biggest problem because you cannot see challenges like these and pretend nothing happened.

I really can't appreciate the officiating at all. Even VAR failed to intervene on several dangerous fouls. When both the referee and VAR ignore repeated incidents, people will inevitably question whether those decisions were intentional. It creates the impression that France were not being given fair protection and that their opponents were allowed to gain an unfair advantage.

We've seen too many questionable decisions and too many obvious fouls ignored throughout this tournament. Is this supposed to be football or rugby? It's disappointing that we're still witnessing this kind of officiating in modern football."

People may find the FIFA president's comment amusing, and some will argue that he's entitled to support any team he wants. But the issue isn't whether he has personal preferences—it's that he holds the highest office in world football. That position demands public neutrality.

When the leader of FIFA openly says he "suffered" because of a particular national team, it's bound to raise questions about impartiality. Even if no bias exists, comments like that can damage public confidence and fuel doubts about the fairness of decisions made under FIFA's leadership.

Football is built on trust. Once supporters begin to believe that certain teams receive preferential treatment, every controversial refereeing decision, disciplinary ruling, and tournament outcome will be questioned. Perception alone can be harmful to the credibility of the sport.

Whether the team involved is Argentina or any other nation, the same principle should apply. FIFA's president should represent every member association equally and avoid public comments that could undermine confidence in the integrity of the game.

The world's biggest sport deserves leadership that is not only fair but is also seen to be fair. Protecting that trust should always come before personal emotions or public displays of support.
