🚨 EUROPE’S FSD ROLLOUT COULD SLIP ALL THE WAY TO FEBRUARY 2027.
And almost nobody is talking about why.
Everyone is focused on FSD’s vote at TCMV and the October vs. December timeline, but almost nobody is talking about what happens AFTER the vote.
Even a YES doesn’t mean FSD suddenly appears on every @Tesla in Europe that evening. The @EU_Commission still has to grind through the usual bureaucratic chain: formal adoption, administrative processing, paperwork, publication… and only then can Tesla actually roll the software out.
If the vote were to happen in October and pass, that would probably still mean waiting a few more weeks. But with October now looking increasingly unlikely, a December vote followed by Christmas + New Year could easily push the real EU-wide rollout into late January or even February 2027.
So missing the October vote may not cost Europe 2 months. It could cost us 4+.
That’s potentially MONTHS of extra waiting for what I believe is the most advanced and safest driver-assistance system in the world, simply because they couldn’t put the FSD vote on the October TCMV agenda.
Bureaucracy wins again.
🇮🇪 Tesla FSD (Supervised) is one step closer to launching in Ireland!
✅ Tesla confirms it is “working with authorities” to obtain regulatory approval.
✅ “Ireland is anticipating the arrival of this transformative technology on Irish roads in due course."
Tesla says it is "working with authorities" in Ireland to enable regulatory approval for FSD (Supervised):
"At the start of this week, FSD (Supervised) has received regulatory approval in the Czech Republic. This is now the seventh market in Europe to recognise the transformative potential of FSD (Supervised). Ireland is anticipating the arrival of this transformative technology on Irish roads in due course."
Tesla also says its new car registrations are up 21% year on year in 2026 and the EV maker has now hit a milestone of 15,000 vehicle deliveries in Ireland since entering the market in 2017. https://t.co/n7TvRTTOsE
🚨 Exciting FSD progress in Ireland. 🇮🇪
After emailing Minister Sean Canney, he received an official reply confirming that Tesla is actively engaging with Irish authorities (including the NSAI) on their Full Self-Driving system. Ireland is also developing a national strategy for connected & automated vehicles (CAV) and building capacity for higher automation levels.
Full self-driving isn’t permitted on Irish roads yet, but real progress is happening at both national and EU level. The dominos are falling. 🔥💯🇪🇺

The NSAI has replied to our (@teslaownersirl ) email query from earlier this week with the following:
It appears as the OEM that Tesla can seek a mutual recognition approval under the Article 39 process.
I've already forwarded the email to my contacts in Tesla! Imagine Ireland was next???!!!
First (supervised) FSD approval in Europe!
Congratulations to the Tesla team and thank you to the regulatory authorities in the Netherlands for all the hard work required to make this happen.
Together with RDW, we have officially completed the final vehicle testing phase for Full Self-Driving (Supervised) and have submitted all documentation required for the UN R-171 approval + Article 39 exemptions. The RDW team is now reviewing the documentation and test results package internally. They have communicated the expected approval for Netherlands date of 4/10, shifting from 3/20 previously and we look forward to successful completion of this cooperation.
Following the Netherlands’ approval, European countries will be able to recognize this approval nationally. We are anticipating a possible EU-wide approval during the summer.
Over the past 18 months, this approval has involved a series of intense documentation, development, testing, research & audits. Including but certainly not limited to:
– 1,600,000+ km of FSD (Supervised) testing on EU roads
– 13,000+ customer sales ride-alongs
– 4,500+ track test scenario executions
– Thousands of pages of written documentation for 400+ compliance requirements
– Dozens of research studies into safety performance/results
We're extremely proud of the work conducted with the RDW team up until this point.
We very much look forward to the approval in April, and sharing FSD (Supervised) with our patient EU customers!
Just started Tesla Robotaxi drives in Austin with no safety monitor in the car.
Congrats to the @teslasi team!
If you’re interested in solving real-world AI, which is likely to lead to AGI imo, join Tesla AI. Solving real-world AI for Optimus will be 100X harder than cars.
Robotaxi rides without any safety monitors are now publicly available in Austin.
Starting with a few unsupervised vehicles mixed in with the broader robotaxi fleet with safety monitors, and the ratio will increase over time.
🚨🇩🇪 GERMANY JUST WENT LIVE WITH TESLA FSD
Germany has launched the first government-backed FSD (Supervised) shuttle service in the EU, running in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm with full support from regional transport authorities.
The pilot project was openly accompanied by the Rhineland-Palatinate Minister of Economic Affairs and Transport, plus local officials.
The result is a real gain for rural mobility: greater accessibility, more flexibility and tangible benefits for everyday life.
Europe is moving from endless autonomy debates to real-world deployment, signaling regulatory trust and momentum that could ripple across the EU.
Quietly, this puts supervised autonomy on the road with government approval, not resistance.
