@JamesGunn I'm sure you're busy. Just wanted to say I enjoyed #Supergirl. Also, how about taking a look at this, maybe signing it, and give the fans a final season, then you'd have a clean slate with these characters for your projects? What do you say? https://t.co/hGRUDtCa8x
@DallasStars I think being part of the equipment team would be a dream job. Traveling, getting to be part of the organization, helping the players (and hopefully doing it so seamlessly they don't even know you're there)...pure hockey heaven (aside from being able to play, of course).
@ladyamer1can@briantylercohen Unless you're Texas. According to Texas Constitution, voting districts are to be redrawn every 10 years, after a census (last census was 2020, next is set for 2030), but, R Gov, R Senate, R State Supreme Court all said, "Gerrymander away!" and started this whole mess.
@TennisGirl_0811@StephenKing The Democrat Leader in the Minnesota House (Melissa Hortman, and her husband) that were killed, and D Sen John Hoffman and his wife (were shot at) are on the Republican side? I guess it's easy to forget them since the shooter only had an entire list of 50 D targets on him.
@hauntedrebekah How else are the robots supposed to take over? You order at the kiosk, you self-checkout at stores, the robots restock the shelves, the AI does the art and writes your resume (for the jobs that won't be there anymore, because of all the robots), and ten people get all the money.
@Vandiekins22@barksmedia Congratulations! He's a lucky man, and I hope he makes you happy. And if he doesn't, does he know that you can karate chop and kill him in an instant? Because if I remember correctly, you're 3/4 Ninja.
@bombonanton1o Probably - but what this chart doesn't show is how many people didn't vote. There are 18M registered voters in Texas - Talarico and Crockett got 2.15M combined (under 5M voted in the whole state). More people will vote in November, but they both left a lot on the table.
@cwebbonline I hope she runs again. This is also a perfect example of EVERY vote matters. There are 18M registered voters in Texas. Talarico and Crockett got a combined 2.15 M votes. It seems there are more TX voters upset she didn't win on twitter than bothered to vote to get her in.
@Clint_WoodATX@groove_sdc I hear it's nice (only been a few times, not often enough to make a real judgment on it). I'm not a big traffic fan, so I stay out of most of the cities as much as I can, lol (I actually want to move out west, the DFW area is getting WAY too crowded for me).
@Clint_WoodATX@groove_sdc Exactly, in the primary and runoffs, you are stuck with the party you pick (for now, I cannot vote in the Paxton/Cornyn runoff, because I registered as a D). But in the midterm, I can vote for whoever I want, R or D.
@Clint_WoodATX@groove_sdc 2) So, yes, I a "D" when the midterms come, can vote for Paxton or Cornyn if I don't like what Talarico says between now and then.
@Clint_WoodATX@groove_sdc 1) When the midterms come, it'll be D vs R - in the Primaries, it's "Who is the D" on one ballot and "Who is the R" on the other ballot. The primaries, you have to pick one ballot. In the midterms, you have to pick who you want to win the job.
@Clint_WoodATX@groove_sdc The tricky part is the other positions. For instance, if the R latinos said D to vote against Crockett, then in the governor spot, they would've had to pick Hinojosa or any of the others she was running against to be the D gov candidate, but they couldn't vote for Abbott.
@Clint_WoodATX@groove_sdc Yeah, those people can say "Democrat", get a D ballot with Talarico and Crockett - then vote Talarico. They can't vote any of the other R positions that were up, they'd stay with the D ballot until the next election.
@Clint_WoodATX@groove_sdc And, as you mentioned earlier, they can't vote on any other R tickets until next year (the next primaries), but they could switch back then if they want. SO, pick the candidate most important (or that you want to stop the most) pick their party, vote. Change parties later.
@Clint_WoodATX@groove_sdc 100% could. If they're not concerned with who is on the Republican ticket (like, they don't care if it's Cornyn or Paxton), but they don't think either could beat Crockett, they could register D and vote Talarico to make sure Crockett isn't on the ticket.
