Since #SEC2023 a lot of kind people have said very nice things about the way in which @LeedsTeaching was able to deliver a hybrid conference to 464 people across 14 sessions- 4 plenaries and 2 parallel sessions (each with 5 concurrent panels). Here's how we did it.....

I'll have missed things here but to put together a successful hybrid conference on this scale you need a committed core team, prior experience with hybrid, meticulous planning, high quality technical support, and quality comms/training for chairs and speakers.

Other helpful tips- its useful to design the sessions so that people can change from presenting in person to online at short notice, and having a single shared slide deck for each session speeds things up.
