@csharpfritz TOML is a thing. Just like the hundreds of languages and data formats in existence. Get over it and accept that you may have to deal with it, along with the myriad other things.
@TheBuddyCSM But you’re not including your upcoming consultant work! That’s worth at least another couple hundred burritos per month. I mean, somebody has to show all the organizations of the world how to avoid detritus.
@LundukeJournal I agree with your take on AI and the sheer volume of generated and unreviewed code being a problem. However, I disagree with your take on Rust. Rust fixes a lot of common issues found in languages with loose or dynamic type systems, and it fixes a lot of memory handling problems.
@TheGracia_here Good start, but remember write can write less than the full amount, so put it in a while loop and keep track of the data already written. Be sure to write it all - don’t bail out early, since that makes it an unreliable proxy.
@Mikehomeseller It’s all good. Not a track I don’t like. I’d give it at least a 9, but only because Rust in Peace and Countdown set a pretty high bar. Dave’s voice still sounds great, and just really high quality stuff!
@TheGracia_here Write “may transfer fewer than count bytes. Such partial writes can occur for various reasons” . Your test code should be checking return values and ensuring all bytes are written. Without that logic, your test is flawed, and you could be measuring apples and oranges.
