@j_lubbz@ryanarey There’s nothing ruling that out I don’t think, they just didn’t put any lines in explaining that. But it’s still a viable interpretation.
@jayforeman@willmgreenhalgh I like how Apple Maps looks when driving, with the angled 3D building view. But I find Google better for traffic, also odd that Apple doesn’t have ‘north = up’ setting.
@liamdutton@andrewsduncan1 Here in Hook, Hampshire, we had the most intense rain I’ve ever experienced in any country. My house hasn’t flooded in living memory and we had 3 inches in the house, half a fence panel in the garden as it came rushing down the street. Never seen anything like it.
@MarvelGuides True, though that did always bug me. What even is ‘a Loki’ if he can be an alligator? Who decided he counted as one? I hope you’re right anyway, it’d be very stupid if everyone pretended they didn’t recognise him.
@Kat_Says_Stuff@LoftusSteve I started out pretty agnostic on privatisation, people often say axiomatically it just shouldn’t run for profit which I can understand, but that needs backing up with evidence. Show me the government run system that performs as well as England’s does.
It’s incredibly depressing to see first hand how distorted an issue can become in the eyes of the public, people believe passionately this is a crisis and yet it’s built on a total fabrication. I struggle to think of another issue that draws such ire and yet deserves so little.
@LoftusSteve It’s truly something to behold how many thousands upon thousands of people have replied to your water megathread and called it nonsense without even the barest attempt at explaining why. “He wrote an article for Conservative Home once”. Seriously?
Do you know of any genuinely good attempts at a rebuttal? I always link your thread to those confused about the issue, I feel like I should read a counter just for some balance, but all you find is a sea of people repeating the same nonsense.
@WilliamWeirHere@T80GME@Feargal_Sharkey@SouthWestWater@thameswater Waterways have become less polluted, not more under basically all governments since privatisation. I know it’s difficult to accept under the barrage of negative press but it’s true. I say this as someone who has never voted Tory.
