Two weeks ago was my last week at Multisynq.
I want to lay out what happened and what I did because I'm seeing people call me and others scammers and that needs an honest answer.
Everyone got their MON back from the deposit. If you have not double check that you did not send the deposit to the contract instead of the treasury.
Now the part people keep getting wrong.
A scammer takes money out. We all put our own money into the company. I worked on Multisynq for two years, all of it was unpaid with a promise with funding extension I would be made whole, the company needed it and I was trying to keep things moving. I was trying to do what was best for our investors and users.
Since August I've been self-funding thousands of dollars out of my own pocket. I drew nothing and I covered costs myself. That's the opposite of a scam.
I came in two years ago, referred by a venture firm. It was my first blockchain job. I came from a PM role in the normal world, though I'd been in crypto and doing BD for years before that. I learned a ton. I became one of the faces of the company. I networked like crazy and I showed up every day for it.
The tech was good. It just got stuck, and not for lack of trying.
After a few days of back and forth, we couldn't agree on a path forward with our parent company or the members of the board. This was in hopes to inject some money into the company from the parent company or to restructure in a way that would make us investible.
So I and others made the call to move on. The parent company is taking over from here. I don't know what's next for Multisynq.
I welcomed my daughter a few weeks ago. So the timing on stepping away isn't exactly ideal.
But I'd rather walk away clean than stay somewhere I couldn't move forward, and I'd rather be honest about all of it than let a false narrative start or let the team be the fall guys.
I don't know what's next for me. In the age of AI you can just go do stuff, and there's no better moment than now.
Maybe I build something. Maybe I go get a normal job.
We'll see.
The Multisynq community has been amazing.
The Monad team and ecosystem have been amazing.
Our backers and partners have been amazing.
You know how I worked.
Thank you for all of it.
Arf is forever.
