@grocer_on_green@DangleSpanners@BiddyBike This one, was going to 'help' double the number of people using the station. A worthy aim, but free car parking and paid for bike parking isn't an active travel scheme. Good for councillors though, helps them show residents complaining about lack of street spaces.
@grocer_on_green@DangleSpanners@BiddyBike Fair comments really, shame the active travel money spent at Pinhoe Station to build a residents car park didn't go on making Polsloe more accessible really.
@HantsPolRoads Looking forward to seeing your officers out and about following your own advice. Before going to the effort to change unforms seasonally, you might want to have a quick check of what's effective first https://t.co/OaQ12WaSHm
@DangleSpanners@BiddyBike Those aren't investments that were primarily to meet growing demand though. They were largely replacement of existing facilities which had come to end of life.
Unfortunately it's this nonsense that @exeterlabour@philbialyk @steve_race have just endorsed. The report put in front of them was full of this nonsense but they voted for its recommendations regardless.
@DangleSpanners@BiddyBike All the CiL funding coming in to help mitigate the impact of development in Pinhoe and east of Exeter has been used on the leisure centre and now for the cities waste service. That funding needs to be ring fenced somehow.
@dougmcneall Unfortunately all @exeterlabour @DC_RPT refusal to enforce, and subsequent abandonment of road safety measures in #exeter has just endorsed ppl driving like 🍆s . Stay safe, it's grim.
The Tories say Labour's plans would cost £2,000 - but if you apply their methodology to their own (published) tax plans it works out at a £3,000 tax rise.
