@KYGolfHoles @LifetimeIP @notgaetti If you look at them as a whole he was trending down in everyway and then had a great year. I think something similar happened with Alfonso Soriano late in his career. They positioned him extremely well and his defensive metrics improved considerably.

He possibly tried a few different things with different pitching staffs. You think it's strange that he played beside and with different people/coaches?

He was replacement level at SS in almost every way and I watched him play! You're missing the joke with errors and fielding %. Bad SS's just avoid the ball...

@KYGolfHoles @LifetimeIP @notgaetti I don't understand your question about 'estimated based stats' so I didn't answer. I can 100% play SS in the majors if my goal is no errors and a high fielding %. Derek Jeter, 0.981 fld% -24 defensive runs saved... (I could obviously not play major league SS).

@NJpla413330 @notgaetti I watched him at the end unfortunately. He's not a bad pitcher but he's far from a HoF pitcher in my opinion. He was great in 91/92 but the years surrounding that were awful. His peak was never even in the conversation for the best pitcher of his era.
