We’re seeing exactly what many expected.

With Automated Speed Enforcement in place, driver compliance reached as high as 87%.

Today, that number has dropped to 41%.

That’s a significant decline, and a clear setback when it comes to road safety in our communities.

As we move forward with our traffic safety plan, we will need to identify and implement alternative measures that ensure drivers slow down and residents feel safe on their streets.

This is not the direction we want to be heading, but the data is clear and it reinforces the need to act.

Construction is officially underway on the long-anticipated Pineview pathway project! 🚧

This new multi-use path will create a safer, more accessible route for walkers, joggers, and cyclists — connecting key parts of the neighbourhood and making it easier to enjoy the outdoors. The first traunch runs from Blair Station to Meadowbrook, with the second phase stretching from Meadowbrook to Stonehenge once school is out for the summer.

Huge thanks to the community for your patience and ongoing support — it’s happening!
I look forward to hosting a ribbon cutting soon with PCA President Pam. Stay tuned! ✂️

Les travaux ont officiellement commencé pour le projet tant attendu de sentier polyvalent à Pineview! 🚧

Ce nouveau sentier offrira un parcours plus sécuritaire et plus accessible pour les marcheurs, joggeurs et cyclistes — en reliant des secteurs clés du quartier tout en facilitant l’accès aux espaces extérieurs. La première portion ira de la station Blair jusqu’à Meadowbrook, et la deuxième, une fois l’école terminée, s’étendra de Meadowbrook jusqu’à Stonehenge.

Un immense merci à la communauté pour sa patience et son soutien tout au long du processus — ça y est!

J’ai bien hâte de participer à une cérémonie d’inauguration avec Pam, la présidente de l’Association communautaire de Pineview. Restez à l’écoute! ✂️

Something exciting is coming to Pineview!
The pathway between Stonehenge and Blair Station — one of the busiest and most loved in the area — is getting the upgrade it deserves. After years of planning, work is set to begin this year to completely resurface the path, making it smoother, safer, and even more enjoyable for everyone who uses it.
It’s great news for the whole neighbourhood, and I can’t wait to see folks out enjoying the refreshed path soon!

De belles nouvelles pour Pineview!
Le sentier entre Stonehenge et la station Blair — l’un des plus fréquentés et appréciés du secteur — sera bientôt entièrement remis à neuf. Après plusieurs années de planification, les travaux débuteront cette année pour resurfacer complètement le sentier, le rendant plus fluide, plus sécuritaire et encore plus agréable pour tous les usagers.
Une excellente nouvelle pour tout le quartier! J’ai hâte de voir tout le monde profiter du sentier revitalisé très bientôt!
