Anyone else think the @UNODC 2023 World Drug Report is a bit rubbish compared to previous ones? Nice idea to be able to view data in online environment, but the execution is unfortunately pretty bad.
The number of near accidents I’ve been in or seen in Japan due to people cycling on wrong side of the road is staggering. So much so my local gov has put out basic safety info explaining why this is not a good idea. Apparently this is not common sense?

Obvious issues include:
• (Illegal) supply chain
• licence compliance
• product quality testing
Etc.
Thai authorities don’t seem to have a solid grasp on any of this, and currently sat in limbo whilst a new gov is decided.
Seems that an economic rationality trumped all else.
Just got back from Thailand… looking like the Wild West of weed. No limits on THC potency, no limits on purchase amount. I asked if it would be possible for me to buy 5kg of 50%+THC imported cannabis… “no problem, just need to call supplier”.
