@clairlemon This same ‘deference defect’ is also affecting the right, leading to the morass we’re currently faced with across several influential right- or centre-leaning media outlets.
@joshzepps@bobjcarr Hi Josh, how do you manage or oversee the content of your advertisers? A bit shocked to hear a fundamentally dishonest advertisement by (shady org) Australians for Prosperity on a recent podcast. Is this you succumbing to audience capture and going where the money flows, or no?
@RoKnoxWentworth This guy in the left was the one overzealously displacing other candidate’s corflutes on the corner of Ocean Street and NSH Road yesterday. He looks nice.
@X7507091045988@KosSamaras What I quoted was a fact that can be verified by the official parliamentary record; better than that tired old
website produced by the Liberal Party to push the same old agenda with a different colour scheme (I suggest you read the site to the very bottom this time).
@X7507091045988@KosSamaras Allegra Spender has supported votes called by the Coalition 60% of the time, so more than those called by Labor (50%). She does this because she’s representing her constituents, rather than a party. It’s a better way to do things. Deal with it.
@ArthurCDent@GurusPod Personally, I love it whenever you say “somethinK”. Reminds me of a happier time, before my English-teaching mum hadn’t beaten it out of me…
@VoicesWentworth @AlexGreenwich @MarjorieSONeill@kelliesloane@gabrielleupton Worth digging into the issue of optional preferential voting as well. If preferential voting was compulsory, or more widely employed by voters, Vaucluse could well have tipped the other way as well. Makes you wonder why the Libs explicitly campaigned against preferential voting…
Why the media won't touch the Barilaro tapes👇
“... the New South Wales law allows for no public interest defence, so the ABC won’t let us broadcast it, even though you can listen to it in full online.” #MediaWatch
@kelliesloane@kgfreyer …while I appreciate that you may believe your team doesn’t have any blame to shoulder, *someone* has, and it’s someone who has access to a significant amount of your campaign material.
@kelliesloane, any chance you could tell your volunteers to stop taking down other candidates’ corflutes and replacing them with yours?? There are multiple instances and they’re piling up. Dirty politics, dirty campaigning…the public has a right to expect better.
@kelliesloane Hi there,
best you confer with @kgfreyer , who put up corflutes in Double Bay that have been replaced with yours. I’ve seen a number of others that have been either ripped down or half ripped down, a number along Old South Head Road have been removed and replaced…
@profholden@GrogsGamut@TheAusInstitute I like you both, and happily read your opinions and arguments in order to understand any issue at hand. Sad to see you trying to close off/blunt the other’s argument via this brutal platform. I’d love to read, listen to or watch an actual debate! It would benefit all (yooz too).
