Also saying that to anyone that’s never worn a cgm or pump, makes you sound fucking insane! “No you see, I’m showering without my cgm on, so it’s like NAKED naked. Two levels of naked! It’s different, trust me. You only have one level of naked. This is double naked” 🙃
I’m honestly just glad to see the back of this week. It’s been the hardest Christmas to go through, I’m just relieved it’s over. It’s always a rough time of year for me but this year more than any, I think I just haven’t the fight in me to make the best of a sad time anymore…
I will 100% be deleting all of these when I emotionally shut back down later but for now I just wanted to get it off my chest with a brief moment of vulnerability. I hate this time of year & I wish I could avoid it but Christmas is forced on everyone & there’s no running from it
I treat my friends like my family because truth be told I don’t have any. So when a whole holiday is built around spending time with your family. I’m always cast adrift. I can’t blame anyone for wanting to be with their blood. I guess I just wish I had some that actually cared…
@jazz_insulin 😂😂😂 that asshole ruined the word designer for me, I literally can’t look at it now without laughing. I never knew diabetes was that fashionable
Imagine hearing someone died rationing their daily oxygen intake because they couldn’t afford breathing anymore. Sounds like an incredibly dystopian concept right? But that’s exactly what some diabetics have to do rationing their insulin to survive. Makes my fucking blood boil
*Watching my blood sugar spike from eating half a peanut butter cup*
“More like dia-booooo-ties, am I right?”
No ones even around, idk why I even said that out loud.
But I got a travel case with lots of pockets in it. Perfect size for carrying the ridiculous amount of diabetic things I need & I’m hyped on it cos it just makes my life a lot easier. It made me realise that a gift of making my life easier to handle is the best gift I can get
@thangbrandr @geenyus17 @heidithewiz @ninaturner Insulin is free to everyone that needs it in Ireland. Has been for as long as I’ve been a diabetic & it’s not a disaster. Same for Australia, UK, Germany & Sweden to name a few. You are incorrect & what your argument translates to is price gouging life saving meds is good policy
