On Tuesday, August 6th, crew members from Swansea Central Fire Station took part in their annual Water Rescue Training, which was held at Loughor Estuary. This year’s training had a particular focus on rescuing casualties from mud.

One of our incident handlers, Emma, replied by telling the caller she’d phoned police – only for the woman to ignore this and ask for a pizza ‘immediately’

Wales haven’t underachieved. We’re a tiny nation of 3m people with no World Cup pedigree at all. The achievement was getting there. Today was disappointing but whatever happens on Tuesday I’ll be able to say I saw Wales at a World Cup. That’ll do me.
