Made fun of his clothes multiple times, interrupted him numerous times, escalated the conversation after he voiced Russia can’t be trusted to honor a cease fire without guarantees based on previous attempts.
The President and VP are on power trips and came off as bullies.
Ukraine is invaded and having their people killed in their home by Russia - I don’t understand how anyone can attempt to make Pres. Zelenskyy the bad guy.
"Do you think that is respectful to come to the Oval Office of the United States of America and attack the administration that is trying to prevent the destruction of your country?” –@VP JD Vance
@patrickbetdavid@brianglenntv “A smug answer” I see you say nothing about musk wearing his hat inside of a building. A reporter disrespecting a President is the real issue here. The side that always speaks of sheeple care about social constructs the most.
@ZelenskyyUa calmly explains why Russia can’t be trusted stating specific historical examples and @JDVance escalates the conversation continuing to restate his prerehearsed talking points. Not to mention @POTUS interrupts him in the middle of speaking to incorrectly correct him.
Zelenskyy: He broke the ceasefire. He killed our people. He did not exchange prisoners. We signed the exchange of prisoners, but he didn't do it. What kind of diplomacy you are speaking about?
Vance: I think it's disrespectful for you to come into the oval office and try to litigate this in front of them American media
@elonmusk Shouldn’t this read: “citizens will receive better health care and more dollars as immense waste and fraud are eliminated from social security & medical”
I feel the way this is worded implies the money won’t stay in those systems. “Optimistic” “potential”.
@neubadah I don’t understand how tax payer funded research can end up behind pay walls or patents. The current system prioritizes private profit over public access from my understanding.
For your specific example of AI other limiting factors would be electricity, WiFi/internet, phone/computer. Again things that aren’t available to all or are cut off frequently due to money prioritizing survival. I feel people forget most people live paycheck to paycheck and prioritize rent and other necessities over phone bills, wifi, etc.. I’m not saying someone needs UBI to succeed, I’m saying more people would have the opportunity to further advance civilization rather than focusing on survival if there was UBI.
I agree that challenges can build strength, but as time goes on, the ‘hard’ should become easier, and I don’t think we need to cling to outdated struggles out of fear we’ll lose our fortitude. It’s 2025—resilience shouldn’t come from fighting for survival but from tackling the challenges of progress, like innovation, solving global problems, and advancing knowledge.
Funny, that’s how I feel about inheritance and gifts, but no one seems to call those drivers of laziness. Innovators will innovate regardless. UBI would just provide a baseline—there will still be innate differences in ambition and success rates, which keep the drive for more income and productivity alive.
Technically, we all have 24 hours, but someone who has to provide for themselves entirely from a young age has ‘less time.’ More of their hours are spent covering necessities others might have had provided for them—rent, food, insurance, loans, and so on. Time isn’t equally free for everyone.
I see it from a different angle, allowing for social mobility because people could focus on skills rather than survival.
Is there a reason production and UBI is mutually exclusive? I think we could have UBI and be more productive since a larger population would have more opportunities.
Seems like a modern example of the concubine story from The Art of War. Split them into 2 groups and choose two leaders to keep them in order, execute the first leader that has someone step out of line.
Another option would be announcing everyone is free because then there’s no such thing as escaping.
🇺🇸 STEVE JOBS: THE BEST MANAGERS ARE GREAT CONTRIBUTORS... WHO NEVER WANTED TO BE MANAGERS
"At Apple, we thought hiring professional managers would make us a big company.
It didn’t work—most were bozos who could manage but couldn’t do anything else.
The best managers?
Great individual contributors who never wanted the job but took it because they knew no one else could do it as well."

Wouldn’t this be using resources? 5million could mean a person comes over and sits taking up real estate without being productive.
Also 5 million is nothing to the cartel to have a drug mule become a citizen. This also goes against the “easy times make weak men” philosophy the business motivation group preaches.
@si11y_go0s3 That could be true. I was thinking maybe the opposite - they prefer high calorie foods until they’re socialized/taught they need vegetables. I imagine a primal/instinctual brain would choose vegetables last.
