Not sure if I’ll get enough responses on this social media wasteland of an app, but tell me your hands-down FAVOURITE song of all-time and I’ll put them together into a playlist to share. One song only, if you had to pick, what would it be? I’ll start:

Just reflecting on a very special day - despite multiple obstacles, including COVID, Sydney has graduated with Honours from @AlgonquinColleg with a Social Service Worker diploma. Proud beyond belief. She teaches me about what true perseverance and resiliency are each day. #proud
This evening marks the beginning of Ramadan, a holy month of prayer, fasting to purify body and soul, and time to develop compassion and a greater sense of humility, spirituality, and community. LDSB wishes Ramadan Mubarak to those observing.
Digging into lots of morphology lessons and practice! Building multisyllabic words and decoding them makes a lot more sense when we know the meaning of the morphemes! #teachersrlearningtoo
Finishing off this week with investigating the phases of the moon with Oreos. And maybe sampling some before heading home for the weekend! We work hard and have fun while learning @selbyschool 💜
@MrsMace_LDSB@Johnston_LDSB@JoycePS_LDSB@LimestoneDSB It is so engaging!! And lots of free resources online to accompany the podcast. Happy to send a folder your way if you go ahead with it. Students LOVED it last year.
Find that SCHWA! Ss are working hard to find that sneaky schwa in words to help them with their spelling! We’re challenging words in code group together, to talk through these sneaky ways a schwa ends up in multisyllabic words, being flexible to think of what other vowels work!
Building fluency in 5/6 @selbyschool with timed, repeated readings using a decodable text at S’s level. It’s so awesome to hear how they ruthlessly and kindly correct each other for accuracy, while motivating the partner for ⬆️ fluency! #soproud #❤️mykiddos
@BayridgeSS_LDSB is getting ready for exams! Students can make their own ‘Exam Ready Kit’ and pick up an ‘Anxiety Strategies Kit’ in the main foyer at lunch! Cocoa and Cram sessions begin after school in the BSS Learning Commons! #wevegotthis
Today one Literacy group was working with the root /tract/, meaning to pull.
Being a small country school they used 'tractor': "tract to pull" and "or:one which" to define the morphemes in the word. Structured Lit in junior grades! @JoycePS_LDSB@LITLearningLDSB@LimestoneDSB
