So I'm an addicted gambler, and have been for a long time and I know I will be for the rest of my life. But I don't want it to be a problem anymore. I want to stop. Thread #betregret
@gillsy1002_ Thank you. So I got paid a day early and I have just got in after walking right past the bookies. I didn't go in. First payday I not gambled in around 2 years
It's now been 12 days since I last gambled. I walked past an arcade last night and felt myself trying to justify going in and spending a tenner. I knew it would be more than that.... I never went in. #betting
I have no trouble going this long without gambling. Its a pattern.
First week after payday, next 3 weeks hiding the fact I have lost, then payday comes around again and I have betting money #addicted
I thought I start from the beginning. I can't remember excatly how or when but I know it was some time in 2007. I went into a bookmakers with a colleague and placed my first bet on a fobts machine. I won around £30 in a matter of minutes. That was so easy I thought. #addiction
Had £50 in my pocket, I promised myself that if I got any profit I would take it and run. I got it up to £70 but went for more. I lost it and then used my credit card to deposit another £100 to try and claim back my winnings. I clawed it back to £140....I lost it. #addicted
So just over an hour ago I walked into a bookies, less than 24 hours after I said I wouldn't go back into one for at least a month. Within 12 minutes I lost £150. #addiction
