'Group Souls' & Atavism

Many channelers claim they are communicating with a group soul, or a conglomerate of souls merged into a single super-soul that lacks true individuation.

This often indicates that the individual is functioning from an atavistic mode of perception. Lacking a fully developed sense of individuation themselves, they perceive the spiritual world through the same lens, interpreting it as fundamentally collective rather than individual.

A similar pattern can be seen in the modern belief that humanity's future lies in abandoning personal spiritual development and merging into a collective intelligence by uploading consciousness into a technological cloud. In both cases, the individual self is dissolved into a greater collective rather than developed into its fullest spiritual expression.
