Preseli Beast pre race routine. 24.5 mile fell race with 4,500 feet of elevation:-
6.45 am - alarm ⏰
7.00 am - black coffee and PH1500 ☕️
7.30 am - Beet It 🫜 Nomio 🥦 and 1 porridge sachet with milk
8.15 am - travel down - another porridge sachet and bagel and honey 🍯🥯

No wonder it’s been a tough week as far as recovery has been concerned since the Preseli Beast last Saturday. 4,500ft over 24 miles over the mountains. Despite 2 marathons in Seville and London, this was my highest HR over 60 mins this year! #marathon #running

Direction clear for weeks, plan also approved by Sir Jim Ratfliffe and new deal set to be signed soon.

I raced Seville in 2.28 and then London in 2.33. After London I had a great recovery week. Celebrated a superb wedding, went to Old Trafford, ate what I wanted, and had a few (too many) drinks!

A world record 1,338,544 people have applied for the ballot for next year's TCS London Marathon.

That includes more than one million people from the UK alone, with over 300,000 international applications.

This represents an 18% increase year on year and more than double the total applications for the 2024 London Marathon (578,304).

It means that 1.8% of the entire UK population has applied for next year's edition.
