BREAKING: President Trump is increasing the presence of federal law enforcement across Washington, DC.

Starting tonight, “there will be an increased presence of federal law enforcement in response to crime in DC,” a White House official tells me.

This will be beginning as a 7-day effort, with the option to extend as needed, per. White House official.

The @USDOTFHWA issuing a clarification this afternoon on what was interpreted as a ban on humorous messages being displayed on electronic highway signs. A spokesperson saying it’s not a ban, it’s “a recommendation to avoid the use of humor and pop culture references.”

Capitol Police appear to be leading demonstrators out of the Cannon House Office Building. Many are in plastic zip tie handcuffs and are being patted down by officers. Supporters are on the opposite side chanting “Free Palestine” and “Let Gaza Live” along with the demonstrators.

Manger says the first 911 call was based on someone hearing from someone else saying there was an active shooter. Says initial caller didn’t see anything. Says there’s no confirmation there was an active shooter, “this may have been a bogus call.”

Just last week USCP & SAA touted that they've been doing active shooter training in the buildings in recent months. Hopefully that means they are prepared for this.
