I’ve not been a fan of most our draft. Proctor pick really got to me. I like every other pick outside of the WR from TT.
I shouldn’t be so judgmental. Give it time.
Here’s what I’ll say about the draft so far. You may not agree with every pick, but there is a clear IDENTITY. That was Grier’s biggest downfall. His draft record wasn’t actually horrible when you look through everything, he drafted at a league average rate, but his biggest issue was that he could never establish an identity. It was like he just took whoever he liked the most at that spot in a vacuum with no thought as to how they’d fit with the team. Sully is doing the exact opposite. He is taking guys that fit the mold he wants to build and complement each other. You remember how we always asked why can’t we play complementary football? It’s because Grier couldn’t build a complementary team. Sully is laying the foundation to do just that.
Sources: The Dolphins are releasing QB Tua Tagovailoa with a post–June 1 designation.
By cutting Tagovailoa, Miami will take on an NFL-record $99 million in dead money, split over two years, but new GM Jon-Eric Sullivan and HC Jeff Hafley now get a fresh start at the quarterback position.
But but but, he won a Super Bowl with the chiefs.
Tyreek wants to stay in Miami. Long term.
But but he still talks to chiefs fans. He wants to come home. Dude was amazing in Miami with shitty Tua. Gonna miss him, truly.
But man, cheetah was a headache.
Sources: Miami’s eight-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill is being released. Hill turns 32 on March 1, is recovering from a dislocated knee and torn ACL, and now will be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
His release will save the Dolphins $22.8 million against the salary cap.
As the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals navigate their future with new head coaches, both teams would like to be able to find trade partners for their starting quarterbacks.
