A stable homeless sector is an investment in society. But nearly £1bn is set to leave the sector in April, putting vital services at risk

On #WorldHomelessDay our letter to @RachelReevesMP, signed by 75 of our members, calls for action in the AutumnBudget.

Nearly £1bn is set to leave the homeless sector in April. Inaction will put vital services at risk & leading to a surge in homelessness

Our letter, signed by 75 of our members, calls on @RachelReevesMP to act on the cliffedge in the upcoming AutumnBudget

We share @UKLabour's ambition to end #homelessness 🏠

[Suzannah Young @NatFedSuzannah]

#Supportedhousing relieves pressure on a range of public services and will be essential if we are to build an NHS fit for the future #StartsAtHome

Every family, whatever their background, needs a safe and secure place to put down roots, where their home can be their foundation.

We've joined @Shelter and 41 other organisations to demand #SocialHousingNotScapegoating ahead of #GE24

🚨Supported housing is in crisis🚨

We cannot allow any more services to close.

Not only will this impact current & future residents, but it will also increase pressure on the NHS & other public services.

The next govt must urgently provide funding for #SupportedHousing

[Ending Homelessness Together @RiversideEHT]

Good to see @natfednews highlight the financial crisis that supported housing is facing.

Central Government must now step in and ensure that our doors stay open.

Well when I wrote this I thought I'd be better in a few weeks. Still not quite there. Grateful to family, friends, colleagues, tweeps/xpeeps for support. Thanks and be sure you look after yourselves. Dx

Been poorly and therefore quiet on here for a while. Covid has knocked me out and I'm still taking time to recover. But jumped on here to see what is occurring and what I've missed.

Sorry to read this. Bob Kerslake was an inspirational, transformational and principled leader and public servant. His legacy shines across local and national government, housing, and particularly Sheffield.

[Ros Kerslake CBE @roskerslake]

My brother Bob (Lord Robert Kerslake) died yesterday after a short battle with cancer. We are all devastated.

Safeguarding is everyone's business. If you suspect that a child, or someone in your community might be at risk of abuse or neglect, ask questions, be curious, report it.
