I’m here with our fantastic Reform UK candidate, Rob Kenyon, talking about exactly why the people of Makerfield need to get behind him in this hugely important by-election.

And let’s be absolutely clear — this is not just any old by-election. This is a General Election by any other name.

The eyes of the entire country are on Makerfield right now because what happens here could have massive consequences for the future direction of British politics. This vote is about far more than one seat. It’s about sending a message loud and clear that people have had enough of broken promises, career politicians and being taken for granted.

Rob is hardworking, genuine, approachable and somebody who actually understands the concerns of ordinary people because he is one of them. He’s not part of the Westminster bubble. He’s standing because he genuinely cares about his community and wants to fight for local residents.

While Labour continue to play political games and focus on personalities and power struggles, local people are worrying about the cost of living, crime, immigration, jobs, small businesses and the future of their communities.

Makerfield now has the chance to make history.

Today, @D_Tarczynski, @RealDonKeith, @AdaLluch, @JoeyMannarino and I have formally instructed our lawyer, @Fr_Gargallo, to issue a Letter of Claim to @Keir_Starmer. The letter demands that he immediately retract his defamatory statements in which he labelled us “far-right agitators” who wish to incite violence.

Should he fail to comply, we reserve all our legal rights to pursue further action against him.

So Keir Starmer and Sadiq Khan reportedly met senior Met Police officials this morning ahead of tomorrow’s Tommy Robinson rally.

A lot of people are now asking an obvious question:

Why are politicians holding meetings with police chiefs right before a major political demonstration?

The police are supposed to be completely impartial and independent from political pressure.

At a time when trust in institutions is already collapsing, optics like this only fuel even more suspicion and division.

There is a stitch up happening that is plainly clear and evident.

In a democracy, you don’t protect free speech by only allowing opinions the government agrees with.
