विकास अपने बीमार फौजी पिता को इलाज के लिए मेदांता लेकर गए थे, जिन्होंने कारगिल युद्ध, 1999 में देश के लिए दुश्मनों से लोहा लिया था,

विकास बताते है, मैं पैनल के द्वारा पिता का इलाज कराने अस्पताल लाया था,

अस्पताल को पैनल के जरिए जो फीस काटनी थी उन्होंने नॉर्मल फीस काट ली,

नॉर्मल फीस काटने के बाद कह रहे है की अन्डरटेकिंग भी देनी होगी, इसके लिए दबाव डालने लगे,

स्टाफ के लोग उनके साथ बदतमीजी करने लगे और उसके बाद उठकर चले गए,

जबकि विकास कह रहे है कि जब मैंने नॉर्मल फीस दी है और पैनल की सुविधा नहीं ले रहे है तो फिर कैसी अन्डरटेकिंग देनी होगी,

नियमानुसार, पूर्व सैनिकों और उनके आश्रितों को सरकारी स्वास्थ्य पैनल के तहत कैशलेस इलाज की सुविधा मिलनी चाहिए,

आरोप है कि मेदांता हॉस्पिटल ने इस पैनल को स्वीकार करने से मना कर दिया,

एक कारगिल वॉरियर के बेटे का यह दर्द आज हर सच्चे देशभक्त को सोचने पर मजबूर कर रहा है,

यह सिर्फ एक परिवार की कहानी नहीं है, बल्कि देश के लाखों पूर्व सैनिकों और उनके परिवारों का दर्द है, जो रिटायरमेंट के बाद इलाज जैसी बुनियादी जरूरत के लिए इन बड़े अस्पतालों के चक्कर काटते हैं।
