I would like to thank Babbel for this wonderful opportunity. A special thanks to Miriam Plieninger for making this internship possible and to Jennifer Dorman who guided me and empowered me throughout this experience.

I was so fortunate to spend this summer as a learner experience design intern at Babbel.
I will continue to reflect on the lessons I learned and share these on Twitter. For now, I would like to briefly summarize what I got to do at Babbel:
This process culminated in my qualitative analysis of the Babbel Live offering - interactive video-based language classes led by expert language teachers - that I delivered to the design and curriculum team which will be used to help define future iterations of the product.
@YeahThatCindy@irvspanish@cheapshot I really enjoyed this song. My first attempt at translating the lyrics was very weak. However, once I walked through a verse with Google Translate, I began to learn things like the ending "ita" which like "chen" in German renders nouns smaller (and I assume cuter).
Looking for recommendations for online media to support my Spanish learning journey (A1/A2 level content please).
I'm thinking about songs with rich lyrics (e.g. singer songwriters), video games, Netflix shows/movies, and podcasts.

@laylah@YeahThatCindy@irvspanish@cheapshot Good idea! Any suggestions for print media though? At my level, I would probably gain a lot by reading the news in Spanish. For written content, I often create Google docs and use a table to highlight what I understand and translate what I don't.
@YeahThatCindy@irvspanish@cheapshot I'm a sucker for singer-songwriter / folk music. Any recommendations in that genre including modern musicians? I love Argentina's Mercedes Sosa, but would like to broaden my playlist.
@joshraclaw This tweet is perfect haha. My appreciation of Yiddish grew tenfold once I learned German, and I'm so happy to see that Yiddish is offered in Duolingo with Hebrew letters.
@ResearcherKrit What a great chapter describing @ConnectedCamps, the important role of social structure, norms, and near-peer mentoring in a Minecraft mediated environment.
Moreover, a neat articulation of the differences between a fully virtual camp versus a hybrid model.
