Thank you for your input Don, and I do understand the legislation reasonably well
It was Dreyfus who appointed Paul Brereton to what was essentially a blank slate (if you're familiar with the NACC Act, it's deliberately vague) and it was Dreyfus as the presiding Attorney General who offered little input or direction
As it is, the NACC has developed itself into what it sees as a public education and conferencing team, involving large amounts of travel and resources, with hard core investigations running a very poor third. That is on Brereton, but it is also on Dreyfus, which is I suspect, a part of the reason he is no longer Attorney General
My latest article in The Shot
After spending obscene amounts of taxpayer's money on luxury travel, office refurbishments and airfares from their homes to their Canberra office, I examine the high price Australians have paid so far for an impotent #NACC

This👇🏼 is EXACTLY why we need lobbying reform & greater transparency over ministerial diaries - things I've been pushing alongside colleagues on the crossbench for years.
"In-house lobbyists" (people who work for a company or peak body) should be subject to the same rules and cooling off periods as "third party lobbyists" (people who work for a lobbying firm).
Action on these changes are well overdue.

While the usual minions spread new falsehoods about fellow UN experts and me, here is what Israel and its supporters want absolutely you not to see. The body of evidence.
Warning: highly disturbing content.

Debate country needs to have. Bit late in the piece after billions have been squandered, and country's sovereignty imperilled. Aukus is among Australia’s worst foreign policy decisions and requires ‘heroic’ optimism, Gareth Evans says @GuardianAus https://t.co/21mUgf929a
The problem with China.
▪️China’s military buildup has taken place to defend against the massive militarisation and military bases being set like a noose around mainland China.
▪️The US bases ringing China are an urgently increasing strategic threat to China’s trade routes.
▪️China notes present US war-fighting involving the blockading of shipping choke points — see Iran, Venezuela, Cuba.
▪️China has not been in a war for nearly 50 years, and has threatened no country — on the other hand, the United States…
▪️China’s only threat is that it is doing its development better than America, and becoming richer and more technically advanced as a result.
▪️No credible facts have been presented by the anti-China ideological nutters and vested interests trying to shout down community opposition to #AUKUS.
"The Council found that the cartoon “encoded antisemitic tropes,” ruling “the publications failed to take reasonable steps to avoid causing substantial offence, distress, and prejudice.” Absolute rubbish, the Press Council has got this wrong IMO
Press Council gets scores of anonymous complaints about Cathy Wilcox astroturf cartoon. Caves. She was not allowed to know who her (Israel lobby) accusers were

@DavidShoebridge - something else that needs your laser focussed attention David (apologies as I know you have 2 million other things as well). How is this not a conflict of interest for the AFP?
This is Trump’s Watergate.
Today, the @nytimes released a truly stunning report on the Epstein cover-up by the White House.
Collusion, breaking the law, evading subpoenas—it’s all in there:
- Trump quashing the files
- The VP, COS, DOJ, FBI, and others colluding in the Situation Room to stop their release and compliance
- Officials lying to the public
- Admin in-fighting and exits
- Officials who appeared in front of Congress during this time

As soon as you step into a @coles store, the palantir security system immediately sends a security risk assessment to the staff.
You see, I am a dark skinned, bearded, Pasifika man, and I always wear a cap or a beanie.
Yeah, I really hate going into coles.

This seems logical.
Why are Australians who fight with the @IDF not investigated when they return @AlboMP ? Humanitarian agencies and media have reported extensive war crimes and civilian murders.
If Ben Roberts Smith can be charged, so can returning IDF war criminals.
It’s time for the Federal Police to investigate Australians who are returned Israeli Defense Force soldiers.
“Any Australian who has committed war crimes, crimes against humanity or genocide must be held to account and face justice.
“The international rules-based order must be respected and upheld, and the Australian Government must honour its obligations to bring accountability for perpetrators of these grave crimes.
“The impunity must come to an end.”

Prof Jeffrey Sachs, American economist and public policy analyst. Columbia University:
"AUKUS is designed to bill the Australian taxpayers and enrich the US military industrial complex. You have been had Australia, sorry to tell you. And your politicians should own up it."
Women and men of Australia: please do not vote for Pauline Hanson. She is a running dog of US NRA. If she gets anywhere near legislative levers our school children will be at great risk as she deregulates gun controls. This warning also applies to our Jewish and Muslim citizens.
Just watched @DavidShoebridge 💚⚖️👨🏼⚖️ on #Insiders - sharp, principled & on point. Pearl 🐷 & I loved these moments
“Australia faces at the moment is losing our sovereignty and not having critical decisions made about our Defence about what we should be doing to protect us, not having them being made here in Canberra, but being decided in Washington and just imposed against us”

Banning gambling ads to protect young Australians is not a left vs right issue.
We’re seeing yet again vested interests control of the major parties meaning the Australian people lose.
MPs across the Parliament support stronger action on gambling ads. If there was a conscience vote on a full ban, as was recommended by the Murphy Review, it would pass.
