Congratulations to The Well Church as they celebrate 10 years! It was a God-vision born in the hearts of Selena Freeman + Dylan Robinson. Thankful for their friendship & consecration to the Lord and his mission to transform lives. The best days are still ahead! @wellchurch_life
It was a privilege to preside at the 119th Chicago Central District Assembly. We celebrated the organization of 4 new churches and ordained 5 (3 men-2 women). DS, Larry McKain, is a mission-centric leader with a passion for our movement. @Nazarene
I am proud of our two young district superintendents in BI North and BI South District. Ruth Turner + Carl McCann are guiding our church in England, Wales, Scotland + N Ireland w/Spirit-led wisdom, courage, and a strong sense of Wesleyan/Holiness/Nazarene ethos and identity.
It was a privilege to be a part of the British Isles South District Assembly in Manchester, England. Rev. Carl McCann is leading as DS with vision and passion. The district is a growing reflection of Kingdom of God ethnic, socioeconomic, and intergenerational diversity. @Nazarene
What a blessing to be with the British Isles North District Assembly in Glasgow, Scotland! Rev. Ruth Turner received a very strong re-election vote as DS, two elders were ordained, and the unity and power of the Spirit was with us. This district family loves to worship together!
There were also 11 new missionaries commissioned from 7 countries to serve 4 global missions regions. I am so grateful to be part of a generous/sending church with a passion to make Christlike disciples in the nations! (2/2) @Nazarene
Last night the General Board recognized the retirement of 12 Nazarene missionaries representing a combined 300 years of service to our beloved church. The impact of their consecrated lives have touched 1000’s of people for Christ in 11 world areas + 4 continents. (1/2) @nazarene
Blessed to speak at Olathe College Church - one of our great legacy churches. Pastor Kevin Donoho is an anointed and visionary pastoral leader. The Lord met us with a powerful move of His Spirit in a sweet and holy way. Thanks be to God! @Nazarene
Thanks be to God for the goodness and grace of the Lord on His people. We pray that this will continue to grow in power, prayer, and love throughout our movement! I’m also reminded how often the Lord chooses to bring renewal through our young Spirit-filled followers of Jesus. 2/3
I have many friends who have shared the good news of a revival breaking out at Asbury University. I rejoice in this powerful movement of the Holy Spirit among our Methodist brothers and sisters and beyond. Stories of salvation, reconciliation, healing, calling and more. 1/3
PRAY for our brothers/sisters in Syria, who are gathering at local Naz churches + have sustained damage to their homes - for food to be accessible - for those dealing with the impact of the quake - for those searching for loved ones, for those who are helping with the response.
The church in Aleppo is open 24 hours as a shelter and the brothers work around the clock to help. We pray for divine protection for all and for wisdom and grace so that the church can play its role in helping and reassuring people. Thank you for your prayers." 3/3 @EurasiaRegion
The fear of aftershocks still exists. The members of our church in Aleppo and the Nazarene in Lattakia, by the grace of God, are well physically. There are some whose buildings were damaged + the residents in them were forced to leave their homes and take refuge in the church 2/3
An update from one of our Pastors in Syria: “Thank you for your prayers. The situation is very difficult + confusing, because we have never dealt with such a situation. The weather is very cold, the means of heating are very limited, the shock from the earthquake is horrific 1/3
