I am honoured to be elected by the residents of Epsom West to serve as a new East Surrey Councillor. I know it will be incredibly hard work as part of the new council team to respond to what residents told us about local services, potholes and SEND provision. We will keep residents informed and work hard on their behalf.

I love London. And it’s my job to make it better for all of us which is why this week I challenged the Mayor and the administration on affordable housing, air pollution and accessibility. London needs to be a city for everyone, to grow, thrive and succeed in!
We all know the challenges surrounding making stations step-free, but it's clear that TfL is not making the needs of Disabled Londoners a priority. We need ambitious action, especially with the pedestrianisation of Oxford Street just around the corner.
So many disabled Londoners & carers are struggling right now. We desperately need a better, kinder welfare system. But what does that look like? Great to join up with @emmabest22@trustforlondon & the Disability Policy Centre to gather evidence about what reforms we need to see!

@VMMChamberlain All the best. Southwark is still part of my life. We almost defeated Labour in 1994, I lost by 3 votes! If I won, labour lost the council majority, I would be a mayor! You and your team can do this time!
The Lib Dem group in the Lords is devastated this evening following the death of our own Jim Wallace.
Jim was a towering figure in Scottish and UK politics and will be deeply missed by all of us who were lucky enough to know him and work with him.
Salutes, Jim. Rest well.
Delays and cuts to Access to Work support are pushing Disabled people out of their jobs. We need to speak out and tell MPs that cuts aren't the way to help people into work.
Let's keep Disabled people in the picture.

Well said Hina! If you think we should have a Disabled person as #DisabilityEqualityChampion, raising issues at the highest level, have a look at our petition! Every signature helps.

Thanks for all your hard work too! Our party still has miles to go on disability inclusion. I’ve failed to get selected/elected more times than I can count over 35 years - so many barriers and attitudes. Yet I’m still here!
Friends say I’m mad. I’m not mad… I’m a Liberal. There’s a difference. 😄
We must keep pushing the Minister to be truthful and to coproduce real reform with us. Access to Work is failing, and it won’t improve unless disabled people lead the change. We know what works. We know what’s broken. We live the daily realities and we bring the expertise that government has ignored for far too long.
Trust disabled people.
Put us in charge.
Let us design an Access to Work system that is efficient, fair, and sustainable - one that actually helps us work, create, and thrive.
I’m proud to stand with you. Disabled people are being pushed backwards in every area of life - work, education, social care, health care, community support, advocacy and welfare. Councils are being set up to fail, and we’re the ones paying the price.
We don’t need more sticking-plaster fixes. We need real change. That means bringing health and social care together under one national body, free from political point-scoring, with a long-term 30-year plan that every political party signs up to. No more cuts, no more shifting responsibilities, no more excuses.
Our lives must come first and we won’t stop saying it until the system treats Disabled people with dignity, respect and proper investment!
Many terminally-ill people would feel “duress” and “pressure” to choose an assisted suicide if it is legalised, because of the lack of funding for the NHS, palliative care and social care services, a disabled activist has told MPs and peers.
