@sanaasurat I'll be moving platforms at some point. I cannot in good conscience remain on a platform that is both supported by, and promotes, far-right ideas/ideologues.
I will be severely limiting my twitter activity in the coming days due to Elon Musk's takeover. I'm keeping it for research purposes only, at this point. #adieu
@ICCT_TheHague@barbaramolas This is a top notch hire @ICCT_TheHague. I've worked with Dr. Molas and you're bringing on a world-class scholar to your team.
Excited to see what is in store!
Say hello to one of our newest team members, @barbaramolas!
From August, she will be @ICCT_TheHague’s Research Fellow in the Current and Emerging Threats programme and is an expert on far-right ideology, online radicalisation, and prevention.

The Canadian military isn't doing enough to crack down on far-right extremists within its ranks, according to a report released this week.
The report leaned on the research of UNB prof @DavidCHofmann. He's my guest at 7:15 on @infoamfred

How do hypermasculine cultural and structural overlaps between right-wing #extremist movements and the #military facilitate the recruitment of female veterans into these extremist groups?

@jennaknorr @seasidecourtney Thank you. It's gratifying to know that some people are finding it useful.
Unfortunately, there is a lot more to research and publish on the topic, and there will be several government reports coming out this year on Canadian RWE. Interesting, but scary, times.
@seasidecourtney @CHBEOntarioTech@RWE_CAF_Network The only way Canada can overcome the growth of RWE groups is grass-roots activism, so thank YOU. We need to call out hate when we see it, and make bigots and extremists understand that their heinous ideas are not welcome in Canadian society.
@seasidecourtney @CHBEOntarioTech@RWE_CAF_Network are two research networks that work on right-wing extremist issues from an academic standpoint, and are two great resources as well.
@seasidecourtney That being said, there are resources for general information about the far-right in Canada. https://t.co/mbEFIa26S5 is pretty good. If you know someone who is part of a hate group and wants to leave, I can refer you to individuals who are former RWEs who can help. /2
@seasidecourtney People who cut ties like that are more likely to double-down hard into RWE ideology, as critical feedback from friends and family diminish. It's hard to swallow sometimes, but patience and perseverance is the best way to stop someone from falling down the RWE rabbit hole.
@seasidecourtney The reality is that there is very little formal resources in Canada. We as a nation have largely ignored this cancer spreading among us for a long time, and made ourselves feel better about the situation by saying "at least we are better than the US"...
