I was civilly married for over 7 years. That ended in divorce 15 years ago, long before I even had a thought of ever becoming Catholic

A year and a half ago, I decided to ask the Church to do an invalidity study on my former marriage. I thought that maybe I’d like to eventually meet a nice Catholic girl and get married in the Church, although I was willing to accept whatever the decision would turn out to be

The annulment was granted 4 months ago, and now I can’t think of anything that interests me less than the prospect of dating and marriage does. I’m more likely to become a priest than to get married at this point (though admittedly the priesthood is very unlikely for me as well)

Man plans, God laughs indeed. It’s amazing how surrendering to Him and to His Church can change your heart

When we’re aligned with His will, it’s exciting to ponder what He has in store each of us
