With all the neutral zone talk about the Dallas Stars, I decided to investigate one part of it that is changing for the better: Dallas' zone exits. And why it could help reshape the 5v5 offense.

Almost! No complaints about the top six.

Holy shit what a performance from Michal Postava.

Dallas blows the doors off Sorokin's net (and Logan Stanley's positioning) to win 6-3 in a janky but dominant affair to beat the Islanders.

Well-earned. Dylan Hyrckowian has been exactly as advertised, and Matthew Seminoff's development has been nothing short of a revelation.

We have recalled the following players from the @TexasStars:

[Keith Kavanaugh @KeithKavJr]

My 2 questions for #NJDevils GM Sunny Mehta at his press conference today and his well thought out answers.

Called him out for bluffing. Got him talking about Bayesian hierarchical models. And allegedly stole @mikemorrealeNHL’s question 😂

[David Castillo @DavidCastilloAC]

Slick play through contact work from Ivar Stenberg getting this pass through.

[Gavin Spittle @gjspittle]

A busy Friday with hockey news including a new home for Connor Hellebuyck. Stick tap to David for a great conversation. #TexasHockey

Fun impromptu podcast with Gavin Spittle talking about a little bit of everything: Dallas Stars EV scoring problems, a lot of things they're doing that aren't problems, and a breakdown of the Connor Hellebuyck trade to New Jersey. https://t.co/RDKQt12F8G

Dallas Stars October prospect report. Ryan Brown leads the way in more ways than one.

I don't get the Mehta/Goaltending stuff. Trading for Connor Hellebuyck doesn't contradict his comments or his philosophy. The cost was functionally nothing but cap. I like Mercer, so I think it's a decent-ish trade for both teams. One side optimized better (NJD), but still.

Postgame recap of a hard-fought victory by Dallas over Winnipeg that was earned as much through fortune as by misfortune.

Ottawa senators fans THANK YOU for making me fall in love with hockey again tonight. Hilarious chirps.

"Fuck your podcast" wins crowd chirp of the year. Well done, Ottawa fans.

Not sure how Tkachuk doesn't get called for that elbow to Greig's head. Just kidding. I know exactly how.

[David Castillo @DavidCastilloAC]

Maybe Bowness should be tougher on himself. This is just big baby energy.

[Aaron Portzline @Aportzline]

#CBJ coach Rick Bowness just slammed his stick against the wall while he barked about a half-assed practice drill.

I know people think Bowness has been too tough on these guys. But four blowout losses in eight games and a shameful showing on Tuesday vs #Leafs … not good enough.
