TEACHERS:1000’s of you work in schools that have been canceled in the upcoming weeks.
Make it UR goal to either call every kid & say hi or write them a letter, telling them what you appreciate about them, recognize the strengths they bring to your classroom! #Significant72
When I walk into a school, and it becomes obvious to me that the adults enjoy working there, I immediately suspect it’s a good place for students. Strong staff morale reflects a strong culture… and that’s an environment that is good for kids… and for their learning.
As #schoolsocialworkweek draws to an end, we want to recognize Katelyn Voltapka. Voltapka is a UHS Health Clinic Social Worker, stationed at Roosevelt Elementary. This is her first year at Roosevelt, and she’s providing a great deal of support to our students. #BPatriotProud
Lots of kids have some really good reasons to have a bad attitude. But we expect them to have a good one every day.
We should never have higher expectations of the kids than we have of the adults.
Many students don’t see that with effort, they will grow academically. Educators need to make this connection for kids, provide clear targets, and plan for intervention.
All hands on deck today cleaning after lunch, setting up, and tearing down! Our custodial staff, music staff, aides, cafeteria staff, AND our principal put in wonderful efforts to get this place in tip-tip shape!🙏🏻
Our Roosevelt Pre-K students pelted their principal with some indoor snowballs today! THIS is how you build relationships and memories. Way to go, Mr. Chilson! #BPatriotProud
I am doing an in-depth review of these original PLC books. I learned about the PLC process by reading, rereading, and reviewing these incredible books back in 2005. Do you have any more sticky notes @bkbutler_brian? Thank you so much @SolutionTree#atplc
