Dan Burn role within this England Squad is fascinating - It’s important to think about the dynamic of the Games.

Against Mexico & Norway he was PERFECT for what England needed in that moment. Defending on the edge of the box, no high line, box defending & eating up crosses etc.

England won’t be playing like this unless it’s late on and defending a lead.
This is why it’s important to have different profiles, skill sets and attributes within a squad.
Think he knows he won’t ’play his way into starting’ but understands his role is just as important. Fair play!

@MissVJFxx Just needs a few games out of the team to refresh. Young player, started well, been to a World Cup, obviously a talented player. Give him some slack but a few games on the bench would be the obvious move to get him going again
