@JohnRya13591294@BoyneNews My apologies, my memory goes back to a past Lord May of Drogheda who presented the Turkish Ambassador with something as a thanks for support during the great famine.
@JohnRya13591294@BoyneNews Do you not have Google ? Drogheda United and the Drogheda Town coat of arms both display the Crescent Moon as a thank you to the Ottoman Empire for their generosity during the Great Famine of sending money and shiploads of food to Drogheda.
@gerryleigh12@BoyneNews Get over yourself man. Christianity let the people down with the behavior of its Hierarchy and clerics and the criminal acts committed against women and children in the name of God. All Gods are the one true God in the eyes of its believers.
@CelticN0rse1@BoyneNews Have you attended mass recently ? More people go to Aldi and Lidl on a Sunday than mass. The Ottoman Empire reached out to the people of Drogheda in their hour of need and our Churches did not. Nor did they impose their religion on us !
@BoyneNews People are so badly educated about our past history and then they go and make an arse of themselves with a symbol of Christianity scrawled on the structure that represents pre Christian mythology, makes no sense !
@Declan976066338 Can I first suggest that our “New Patriots” first learn our native language and our Irish history before flying our national flag that represents peace between two Traditions .
@Jklunden Does anyone else think that this is throwing meat to the lions ? People are so gullible to believe nonsense like this ! I’d go as far as saying that very sinister mot are at work here !!
