Immensely proud of @juliacooke9 who did the #GreatNorthRun yday in 1hr 38, just eight months after giving birth to our precious little rainbow Lyra. Ju pushed herself through the pain barrier for the wonderful people @tommys whose kindness and support helped us so much
@CJ_Bertram@twoods250 More than happy with Grav but think another midfielder likely if Endo leaves. Agreed re LB, RB and No 9. Need reinforcements to ensure we can double United's points tally again next season
Pete Madeley was a brilliant and highly respected journalist in the @ExpressandStar newsroom.
Also kind, supportive and extremely funny - the best colleague you could ask to work alongside.
So many wonderful memories in and out of the office.
RIP

Why Chelsea's new owners sacked Thomas Tuchel #CFC
* Results and performances not just to blame
* Tension since tour and communication dried up
* Players unhappy with decisions
* Desire for a long-term head coach
* The need to buy in to the new culture

Shocking photograph, taken by Ben Stansill of AFP/Getty, that shows Guanyu Zhou wedged between the catch-fence and the tyre wall
Truly remarkable he made it out alive, letalone without a broken bone or serious injury #BritishGP
@draper_rob Also worrying scenes post-match. We were in Zone S and all fans leaving were funnelled towards one small door. Pushing unavoidable due to sheer numbers - felt unsafe until gate was (eventually) fully opened. Organisation to blame, not fans @spiritofshankly@LFC@UEFA
It’s important to tell what happened on the ground last night as I see that there are already several versions of ‘The Truth’ flying around. I was on the ground from 6.45pm (2.15 hrs before kick off) when problems began. So here’s a 🧵explaining my experiences….
All the UEFA nonsense about late arriving fans and fake tickets shouldn't stand up for seconds with anyone with half a brain but if it did then it is very much undermined by the fact it was horrendous getting away from the ground too after the game.
The speed with which UEFA’s transparent attempt to blame fans for complete organisational failure has been swallowed despite literally gigabytes of available evidence is really dispiriting.

MERPOL was deployed to this evenings match. Can only describe it as the worst European match I've ever worked or experienced. I thought the behaviour of the fans at the turnstiles was exemplary in shocking circumstances. You were not late 100%

A lot of people seemed to get rather angry about Ellis Cross (who paid his own entry fee and beat Mo Farah at the Vitality London 10,000) being referred to as a club runner. So I asked him about it.
Data is good. But boiling a player like Thiago down to his yield - this many passes completed, this many interceptions, this volume of wheat harvested - is like describing a sunset by listing Pantone numbers. https://t.co/EXalW2Titl
