Rolex sold four one-off gem-set Daytonas at a charity auction in London for about $49.5M.

When pieces this rare hit the market, collectors will pay almost anything.

@Michael_AI_Hu Yep, LPDDR5. And that’s exactly the point. Once robots start needing this much local memory, they’re competing with the same supply chain as AI infrastructure.

[David Damato @DavidDamato_]

Tesla cut AI5 memory to 72GB for Optimus supply, then bumped it back to 96GB a day later.

Humanoid robots are starting to compete with data centers for the same hardware. Physical AI is about to put real pressure on the supply chain.

Rivian delivered 19,248 vehicles in Q3, a strong jump from Q2.

Now the pressure shifts to Q4. R2 is starting to matter, but execution through year-end will tell us a lot more.

@Bremont @BillAckman @shaneparrish Interesting pairing. Ackman backing a watch brand says a lot about how far independent watchmaking has come as a serious business, not just a collector niche.

California just added new rules for robotaxis starting in 2028: local incident response, U.S.-based remote drivers, and city notifications during fleetwide failures.

Scaling AVs is about a lot more than the car. The operations around the fleet matter too.

@PistonHeads You can hate it all you want, but there’s a quiet market for this that people are underestimating.

@mertoid I couldn’t be more jealous right now

@briandstone @LucidMotors Love the all black look 🤌

[David Damato @DavidDamato_]

@TonesOfMusic This is unreal. It also aligns with the movies that came out in 1994.

@johnherzog @GrizleyPaper @niccruzpatane At today’s price, supervised FSD is hard to justify for me as a standalone purchase. I think the real value unlock comes when it can reliably operate unsupervised.

[David Damato @DavidDamato_]

@niccruzpatane Tesla has always been positioned as premium, not traditional luxury. However, FSD is absolutely a luxury feature. If consumer FSD eventually becomes truly unsupervised, I think that definition could start to change.

[David Damato @DavidDamato_]

@GrizleyPaper @niccruzpatane You’re arguing a different point. I’m talking about the value of unsupervised autonomy as a feature, not claiming Tesla has already solved it.

@alexandr_wang All this shipped while rocking Crocs full time. Maybe we’ve been overthinking productivity.

@ClassicCars_com This might be the first Cybertruck that actually makes sense with wood paneling.

@CNET RSS is one of the few parts of the web that still feels like it belongs to the user. Kill it and we’re even more handcuffed to whatever the algorithms decide to show us.

@infodexx My dad was based in London during Vietnam and always said it was an incredible time to be a music fan. British bands absolutely owned that era.

@unusual_whales Palantir historically performs well in October too.
