I was in federal court today; I have been a federal defense lawyer for 33 years. I have seen people go away for very long periods of time for much much less than Trump has done. On much less evidence. With more of a hard luck story. It is hard to keep going; I feel that no one should have any respect for the courts at all anymore after this. What can I tell clients about why they have to pay the penalty for their wrongs?
