It’s official, the Calgary-Shaw byelection has been called. On September 14, you have the opportunity to elect the extraordinary Kyle Campbell as the next MLA for Calgary-Shaw.
Kyle is a fourth-generation Albertan, with family roots in this province that go back further than Alberta itself. He is a finance professional who has devoted years to giving back to his community, coaching his sons’ baseball and basketball teams and serving as president of the Somerset Residents Association.
If you’re frustrated by the rising cost of living, the state of our health care and education systems, or Danielle Smith’s decision to risk our country’s future with a separatist referendum to protect her own political future, this is your chance to make your voice heard.
Let’s send Kyle Campbell to the legislature to represent the great people of Calgary-Shaw.
Danielle Smith just gave more UCP MLAs yet another raise — another $6,000.
In the middle of an affordability crisis and a massive deficit, this is the same premier who says seniors’ benefits and AISH are “overly generous.” She has the largest cabinet in Alberta history and has found ways to give bonuses to Conservative members outside of cabinet as well.
All but six UCP MLAs now receive some form of taxpayer-funded bonus. And we have a $9.4 billion deficit and no gas tax relief for the rest of us.
This is the taxpayers money.
This is a public money.
This is historic scandal.
This can only be cleared through independent judicial-led public inquiry.
Albertans deserve better. PERIOD. https://t.co/YvsW3q6Bw0
Premier Smith's Mar-a-Lago trip cost taxpayers over $10,000: https://t.co/6X2nQnMxMC
The outcome:
- A photo op.
- Dow Chemical project on hold.
- No end to tariffs.
We need a government focused on economic prosperity, jobs & affordability. Not one dog-whistling to separatists.
As the government pushes forward with privatizing healthcare through Bill 55, let's call it what it is: stripping away access to essential care for everyday Albertans.
THIS IS NOT OK!
#yycAcadia#Healthcare#ableg
The UCP can line the pockets of Sam Mraiche for Oilers tickets but they can’t afford to support seniors for the medications they need, so they kicked 60,000 seniors off their drug benefit plan? That’s not fiscal responsibility!
😡
There are clear documents and likely audio
recordings of meetings with the Minister that show that
1900 AHS employees were on the chopping block. How
can the Minister claim ignorance on this?
ICYMI: The UCP wasted millions storing expired medical supplies and Turkish Tylenol—on top of the millions they already spent buying them.
While Albertans struggle with a health care crisis, Danielle Smith is spending taxpayer dollars to warehouse useless goods from UCP insiders.

The allegations in the corrupt care scandal are about the UCP cabinet - about the UCP using tax payer money on inflated contracts for their own benefit. We cannot let the UCP decide what evidence is admissible against them. #AbLeg
Let's be clear, Danielle Smith is more than happy to placate Trump during the worst economic crisis facing our country than she is willing to work with Canadians.
It's never country before politics for her.
This week, she'll make time for Ben Shapiro by flying to Florida to speak to the extremist far right. She wouldn't get on a plane to see Canada's premiers in person on Friday.
Now she casually floats a referendum on separatism, as if any regular Albertan is calling for that.
Calling for a pause on tariffs to politically benefit one party or another isn't the right approach. But standing firm for Canada is.
Just another week of cuts, chaos & corruption in the UCP government.
- UCP cut funding to the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton 💸
- $Millions wasted on medical supply & Turkish Tylenol storage 🗑️
- Premier uses taxpayer dollars to travel to the US for controversial podcast 🛩️
When Minister Schow was given a platform to speak on Alberta tourism, he spoke about going to visit New York.
Let’s recap Minister Schow’s advocacy for tourism in Alberta:
