The best Beagle, friend, and sister a man could ever have. I’ve been lucky enough to have two dogs be the light of my life. Samantha, my love for you will never fade. You will be with me always and forever.
"I was a Red Wings fan growing up. My whole family is from Detroit. It's so special to be able to put on this jersey. I'm so excited."
J.P. Hurlbert shares with @ailishforfar how excited he is to join the @DetroitRedWings 🐙
The Detroit Red Wings trade up to select JP Hurlbert at 23rd overall
An offensive zone wizard, Hurlbert is a dual threat attacker who has great hands. He tore up the WHL in his lone season in the league. Shifty, skilled, and entertaining player!
#2026NHLDraft#LGRW
#LGRW select JP Hurlbert 23rd overall. I ranked him 14th overall.
Yzerman selects an NHLe darling here. 97 points in 68 WHL games is very good for a player drafted outside of the top 20. The NCAA will be a big test for him next year.
Love this pick for Detroit.
Love, love it.
Hurlbert has played in a different league every year for the last few years and has produced big everywhere he's gone.
He's off to the NCAA next year where I'm sure he'll do it again.
One of the names I’m told the #NJDevils checked in on is Alex DeBrincat.
However, it appears the Red Wings prefer to keep the player and are telling teams they’re still adding to compete now, not in the future.
good read from max here
tough pill to swallow, but i think it’s in detroit’s best interest to re-tool
early look ahead to 26-27 projections and i have the wings close to a bottom five team without larkin. best to lean into that rather than go all-in to finish 10th in the east
Not really ground breaking investigating here, but a main draw for the CAA to add Fairfield other than facilities and resources is it allows them to create a north vs south division to cut down on travel and appease more of it's basketball only members.
