As expected, Marco Rubio has congratulated the terrorist state with russia Day: “On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the Russian people on Russia Day. The United States remains committed to advancing a peaceful solution to the Russia-Ukraine war. We remain hopeful that a durable peace will pave the way toward a more prosperous future for the Russian people and a more constructive relationship between our two countries.”
Here is his last year’s message: “On behalf of the American people, I want to congratulate the Russian people on Russia Day. The United States remains committed to supporting the Russian people as they continue to build on their aspirations for a brighter future. We also take this opportunity to reaffirm the United States’ desire for constructive engagement with the Russian Federation to bring about a durable peace between Russia and Ukraine. It is our hope that peace will foster more mutually beneficial relations between our countries.”
No blame on the ambassadors, facing an impossible task, but this kind of meeting is a masquerade and fool's game.
Reading Zakharova’s statement can only reinforces that conviction.
Let’s not get distracted: the only thing that matters is defeating russia.

Between lack of politeness (which is not proved) like Ukrainians, and bombing civilians, hospitals and being terrorists like Russians, I choose my side ! Lavrov is completely out of order !
Lavrov whiningly accuses Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of a major breach of etiquette.
Why? Because Zelenskyy had the audacity to write an open letter to putin and “actually shared it with the rest of the world”, instead of keeping it a secret.
According to Lavrov, "polite people don't act that way," and because of this horrific breach of manners, putin has decided negotiating is off the table anyway.
"President putin spoke in detail on this topic at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, taking into account, among other things, a long letter from Zelenskyy published the day before, which was addressed to President Putin, but for some reason was sent all over the world. That is probably not how polite people act, and the President assessed this letter rather as an indication that negotiations with Ukraine are not necessary.”
Lavrov also echoed putin’s earlier statement that “it is not negotiations but the actions of those involved” on the front lines of Russia’s war “that are crucial to the outcome” of Moscow’s full-scale invasion.
The Kremlin, currently busy rewriting international law and tearing up treaties, is suddenly deeply offended by a lack of diplomatic courtesy.
They are using a public letter as a convenient pretext to avoid real peace talks, shifting the blame entirely onto Ukraine.
Lavrov literally doubles down on putin’s stance that only brutal force on the front lines matters anyway.
It’s an impressive routine: starting a full-scale war, and then complaining that the guy you invaded didn't use the proper RSVP format.
Classic Kremlin gaslighting.
🤡 Russia Accuses Armenia of “Gross Violations of Democratic Procedures”
Zakharova claimed that the election was held under Western pressure and that the Armenian authorities had allegedly carried out repressions against the opposition and its supporters.
“All of this is a gross violation by Yerevan of democratic principles and the procedures of free elections,” said the Foreign Ministry’s chief booze spokeswoman.
Moscow also insists that Armenians want to maintain close ties with Russia and remain in the CSTO and the Eurasian Economic Union, while describing the country’s European ambitions as a “dead-end path.”
“The Armenian people are brotherly to us, and we wish them peace and prosperity,” the Foreign Ministry representative added.
Please, cry some more — Armenia’s self-proclaimed defenders of democracy. 😢
