Summer evenings at Kings Island are about to become even more colorful as Grand Carnivale returns daily through Aug. 2, bringing an energetic celebration of international cultures through music, entertainment, cuisine and spectacular nighttime experiences.

Included with regular park admission, Grand Carnivale transforms the park after 5 p.m. with vibrant decorations, live performances, cultural activities and globally inspired food that give guests another reason to stay long after they’ve finished riding roller coasters.

The celebration begins each evening with the Royal Opening Ceremony near the iconic Eiffel Tower, officially kicking off the festivities before the park comes alive with music, dancing and interactive entertainment.

One of the festival’s signature experiences is Hot Rhythm Nights, a high-energy production featuring talented performers, audience participation and a soundtrack blending today’s biggest hits with nostalgic party favorites. The interactive show invites guests of all ages to sing, dance and become part of the celebration.

As the sun begins to set, the excitement builds toward the Spectacle of Color Parade, where brilliantly decorated floats, colorful costumes and energetic performers wind their way through International Street and surrounding areas. Throughout the parade, performers regularly stop to encourage guests to dance along, creating an atmosphere that feels more like a street festival than a traditional parade.

The evening concludes with the Royal Send-Off, part of Kings Island’s nighttime spectacular featuring fireworks synchronized to music, dazzling lighting effects, lasers and aerial drones that provide a memorable finale to the day’s festivities.

Beyond the entertainment, guests can explore international-inspired food and beverage offerings along with cultural craft booths that celebrate traditions from around the world. While Grand Carnivale entertainment is included with admission, specialty food and beverage items are available for an additional charge.

Grand Carnivale Daily Schedule:

- 5 p.m. – Food and craft booths open
- 6 p.m. – Royal Opening Ceremony
- 6:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. – Hot Rhythm Nights
- 9 p.m. – Spectacle of Color Parade
- 10 p.m. – Royal Send-Off nighttime spectacular

Whether you’re visiting for the international flavors, live entertainment or spectacular nighttime finale, Grand Carnivale offers one of the most immersive summer experiences at Kings Island. If you’re planning a visit between now and Aug. 2, arriving later in the afternoon allows you to enjoy the rides before settling in for an evening filled with music, culture and celebration.
