Mid terms won’t strip Trump’s executive powers to impose tariffs. The fact remains we don’t have all information to determine if Carney was warranted to walk away. Some of the proposed tariffs they say on Cdn autos would be tough for Ontario if that was actually proposed by Trump. The issue is, is Carney doing this for political capital or doing what’s right cdns.

Hey did you forget we bailed out billionaire builders, we privatized the profits and socialized the losses. The builder should’ve brought their price in line with market demand or fail. Or how about the government allow people to buy these property and give them a 50 year 50 yr amortization, discount the price so we can help people become homeowners instead of becoming reliant on the government for housing.

Canadians should not be surprised that Canada is now in a technical recession. For years, mass immigration papered over what the BOC called a productivity emergency. Mass immigration is now over, but Canada still faces a chronic lack of private investment. Expect more weak growth until there is a change in philosophy about the nature and scope of government.

Let us count the ways Carney has failed or failed to act: The Build Canada Homes Agency. They were supposed to build over 500k homes per year. So far they have done almost nothing and nill on building homes cdns can own. All they have done is create more bureaucracy.
No pipeline deal that has a definite date on when shovel’s will be in the ground, no deal with the U.S., Partnering up with China to bring Chinese EV’s not built in Cda, that are mobile spying mechanisms Carney needs to get going.

As a fellow financial professional you should also agree we are paying the price for 11 years of Liberals holding back our natural resource industry and focus on the climate alarmists agenda. Carney yes is trying to do something with a pipeline deal but his insistence on carbon pricing/carbon taxes will make our oil too expensive on the global market. Stop blaming Trump for all our failures. The Liberals created this mess and has resulted in capex spending in Cda falling off a cliff and made Cda un investable.
