@HeidyKhlaaf This group isn't the "someone told me that" group and they say AI extinction risk should be treated at the level of nuclear war. Whatever probability you assign, it isn't an unfounded concern. Statement on AI Extinction Risk | CAIS
@maxcwellb For me, it makes total sense that one entity would want to sever ties with another entity that they feel could lead to significant negative exposure. You want systems in place to catch that, but you don’t want a partner that’s going to be testing those systems all the time.
@theStoicAnchor@janthonylong You don’t have to be a golf fan to recognize why that ad was a problem. Millions of women experience intimidation and violence from men. Rejecting a company for trying, however imperfectly, to take a stand against that seems like a strange place to draw the line.
@PostWhistle_@KVanValkenburg And for them to share why it was poor judgment. That’s the part that I think they don’t get yet. Millions of women are at the receiving end of intimidation by men. And they used that dynamic to try to sell a golf club.
@BigSwingTempo Tough to heal, but after two months of stretching, targeting the pain points, never really got better. Then with 1st dose of Celebrex, I was back. I couldn’t believe how 1 tablet helped so much.
@LouStagner It’s so much more enjoyable if you just play a game and don’t even keep score - no analytics. So much more enjoyable for me. I guess that’s why I prefer practicing.
@engineeringolf I had several dozen of used Titleist tour soft - older balls that were purchased 2nd hand and they never cracked. It’s been well over a year of sim use- dimples fade away to nothing, but they never cracked. Callaway cracked after several weeks.
@caddyshanksco The swing issues that don’t hurt you from breaking 90 make it impossible to break 80. In addition, mastering the bunker and all the unusual lies that you can find yourself in on course (but hard to practice) is key to breaking 80.
@TommyyyGun I would expect feeling the emotions and nerves is just as important to getting better at competitive golf as adjustments to your swing when not having those feelings. You just have to put yourself in those positions. I voted yes.
@notRJdavis I would say GPS is all you need until you get to the point where you can land your irons consistently within a 3-5 yard range of target. For me my 7 iron has a 10 yard range as contact isn’t consistent enough.
@BigSwingTempo I needed about a month or two of consistent play in my garage simulator before I felt comfortable with the driver. It’s been about two years and it’s just like any other club now.
