@akasiaisakasia Yeah, at the end of the day, my own inability to watch horror movies is his biggest road block. I turned of Jumanji in college because the opening was too ominous😭

Harvey’s trying to convince me that he should be able to watch Child’s Play, the Chucky horror movie. Please advise.

@ErinInTheMorn Have a wonderful vacation! Traveling with the love of your life is the best.

Watching Ponyo with the kids of a Saturday morning is such a delight, as is watching Russia’s authoritarian government implode.

You can tell I’m an Xennial because I (1) text a lot and (2) use correct grammar and punctuation to do so.

[David Hershinow @DavidHershinow]

@MikeGrunwald Respect to your tab game.

[David Hershinow @DavidHershinow]

[David Hershinow @DavidHershinow]

@MarcosSGonsalez I’m teaching “The Art of Academic Writing” next spring! I want grad students to have a space where they can attend to style and voice broadly speaking, but also to the rhetorical arts and the artistic practice of making meaning out of oneself. Very excited about it!

Apparently, I’m incapable-of-doling-out-supplements-for-one-when-my-spouse-is-away-for-work years into my marriage.

[David Hershinow @DavidHershinow]

@AmishTrivedi @RezekJoe Are you on the panel about grad student labor and AI? I’m on that panel!

[David Hershinow @DavidHershinow]

I also do informational sessions on crafting a strong application for lectureships in first-year writing programs that follow the Harvard Expos model.

[David Hershinow @DavidHershinow]

If anyone is looking for someone external to lead a writing workshop for graduate students or a staff development session for writing center consultants, I have room in my books for Fall '23 and Spring '24. DM's are open; I'm happy to discuss possible topics and fees.

A student I’ve been working with for the past four years defended recently and got me a gift in thanks for my mentorship and support. “To Dave, who taught me to think bigger thoughts.”🥺

People who work closely with @WritingCenterGC get jobs. Just saying!

[The Graduate Center @GC_CUNY]

Congratulations to Ph.D. candidate @anthonyharbeeb, who will defend his dissertation this summer and start a new tenure-track job at @UCSanDiego in the fall! He explains how signing up for academic job alerts helped him find an unexpected path https://t.co/P6D2ME0IdL @GC_LAILAC
