Aside from the general issues about Trump‘s tariff and his economic nationalism strategy, today’s actions against Canada and Mexico are inexplicable and dangerous. 1/8
Trudeau cites how “Canadians fought and died” beside you. Cites Iranian hostage crisis. Hurricane Katrina. La fires. 911. “We were always there”. He is not wrong to cite these key moments. The sense of betrayal is palpable.
My struggle with MAHA/MAGA, if you want to monetize the internet, sell your phony cures, health freedom nonsense, that’s your right it’s a 250 year American tradition. But don’t forget U.S. strength derives from our research universities/institutions that’s why we’re great nation
U.S. children’s vaccination rates are plummeting. Yet globally, the countries with the highest life expectancies all share one common factor: vaccination rates exceed those of the United States. We simply can’t “Make America Healthy Again” by “Making America Unvaccinated Again.”
Donald Trump can’t change history, we know what we saw on this day four years ago. It was domestic terrorism, it was treason, plain and simple. No number of pardons or lies will change that.
We express our heartfelt condolences to the American people and to the family of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter on his passing. He was a leader who served during a time when Ukraine was not yet independent, yet his heart stood firmly with us in our ongoing fight for freedom.
We deeply appreciate his steadfast commitment to Christian faith and democratic values, as well as his unwavering support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s unprovoked aggression.
He devoted his life to promoting peace in the world and defending human rights. Today, let us remember: peace matters, and the world must remain united in standing against those who threaten these values.
May his memory be eternal.

Remembering a few of their names…
It’s not enough, in individual life or in politics, to hate and fight against what is bad. One must, at a more fundamental level, love and promote what is truly good. Without that motivation, the defeat of evils is bound to result merely in their replacement with different evils.
I think two things are true:
1. Joe pardoning Hunter makes it easier for Trump to pardon the J6 criminals.
2. Trump will likely pardon them regardless of what Joe has/hasn't done.
In 40 years as a palliative care nurse, my wife has never seen a patient die in agony. Always it has been possible to control their pain. Sometimes, it has taken a while to get the drugs right. But that has always been achieved.
In his new book, Bill Barr talks about thwarting Trump’s attempt to make Kash Patel the deputy FBI director, an idea he says showed “a shocking detachment from reality.”
