@DeanCook008@nyaraVT Yeah, it does. What people saw as being a woman 1000 years ago is different from what we see today. Imagine that.
I don’t know. You should do the research on that question yourself. I don’t really care.
@DeanCook008@nyaraVT That’s because being woman is not tied to biology. It’s a social performance.
Because stereotypes aren’t true.
I don’t see anything wrong with associations.
@DeanCook008@nyaraVT Your definition doesn’t work because there are people who would be excluded from your category of women.
A trans woman is a woman.
You still didn’t answer why you need to specifically exclude trans women.
@DeanCook008@nyaraVT Oh, is it?
They are women who happen to be trans.
Why do you need to distinguish them from “real” women so much? Transphobia much.
They call themselves something they are. You think they are not. And you’re mistaken.
@DeanCook008@nyaraVT The concept of gender is historically based on sex, but not dependent on it. How many times do I have to repeat myself?
Why is there a reason to distinguish black and white women? Besides racism, I don’t see one.
@DeanCook008@nyaraVT I never said it doesn’t.
It’s relevant to the definition of the concept of being trans. It’s not relevant to someone being trans. Trans people would still feel something is wrong if they didn’t have a concept what trans or cis is.
