The phenomenon continues with the England Women’s team victorious in the final of UEFA Women’s Euros.

@FA has asked me to lay a wreath at his grave in Barnes Old Cemetery at 11.00am on Wed 20 Nov to mark the centenary and I invite you all to join in this event.

In 1863 6 meetings formed @FA & the Laws of the Game.
The instigator of those meetings was @ebrcmorley.
He died on 20th November 1924 which this year will be the 100th anniversary of his death.
Maybe we should celebrate his life and achievements.

Just spent 2 hours in midday sun beside the grave of @ebrcmorley and his wife.
Many passersby but none curious enough to enquire what I was doing.

I was not disappointed.

@gedboy58 My argument is quite simply that Association football was founded by The Football Association. Association football and the Laws of the Game are administered by IFAB and Association Footbal is played throughout the world. Where do they play your #scotsfoundedfootball?

'As a footballer, Mr Morley may justly be described as the "father" of association football, which had its birth in Barnes.'

Today visited the grave of @ebrcmorley to clear the site ahead of the anniversary of his burial on 25 November.
Very grateful for the help of Michael Howard and Ian Tottman as we transformed the area.
