Joining the club in 2005 as Academy Chief Scout, Steve was instrumental in the careers of the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alex Pearce, Jem Karacan and Michael Hector.

Promoted to First-Team Chief Scout in 2010 under Brian McDermott, Steve remained an integral part of the Royals Family until 2020.

Our thoughts are with Nicky, the entire Shorey family and all of Steve's friends.
