@ox_anna29 I am not sure why this is more objectionable, than those with power to make change, choosing not to.
Thoughts and prayers don't seem to be working!
This meme perfectly captures the broad and complex problems the UK faces right now.
Police retention is at an all time low and we need to hear the alarm this sounds. Understanding why so many, stay for such a short time, has to be a priority.
Failing to act now, can only result in deeper division. Which is bad for all.
Absolutely every politician currently crying about "not politicising Henry Nowak" has at least one tweet politicising George Floyd.
Seriously, search his name in their history and you'll find one for all of them.
"You are not likely to see Henry Nowak’s words stenciled on a mural. No corporation will change its logo. The same establishment that made a few words immortal when spoken by a black man in Minneapolis has met the same words, spoken by a white boy dying on a British street, with what can only be described as a determined, institutional silence. That silence is not neutral. It is a statement. It tells you exactly whose suffering the system has decided counts, and whose does not."
@pdicko67@AndrewHWestern@ZiaYusufUK Sorry, I was being stupid, Labour doesn't have a primary focus.
Still next time you hear one of their MP's speak, count the seconds until they get to Reform bashing. It's usually <90s.
It's just odd that some of the highest performing EU countries prohibit tax on education.
We tax alcohol, tobacco, sugary drinks etc, with a view to dissuading people from buying those things.
How much of a moron do you need to be, to want less education options🤷🏼♂️. Not even because it helps disadvantaged people, but because it punishes a group those on the left hate so much. Successful people.
@SandyofSuffolk The vast majority of people vote, for whoever they genuinely believe can build a prosperous society in which we can all exist.
When a government has no idea, or competence on how to do this, they buy the bottom feeding vote with unsustainable promises of free stuff.
Benefits were conceived as a bridge, supporting contributing citizens when they needed it during exactly the times you outline.
They were never designed for lifetime use, or to underpin a lack of achievement or effort.
No individual should ever receive benefits which exceed payment for their own efforts, for more than 15 years.
There are two crucial things to remember about Jeremy.
1. He has done more to support and boost farming in a few short years, than the NFU managed in half a century. Well that's according to farmers.
2. He has openly said multiple times, he accepts he should be taxed, as he earns the majority of his income elsewhere.
Most of the people bashing Jeremy are from the same pool. Just because you hate successful people, doesn't mean we all should.
